MRS. ADA MAE STATON CLARK, 89 of WINGATE, NC passed away Saturday, May 5, 2018 at CHS-Union in Monroe, NC.
Funeral Services will be held 3:00 pm Friday, May 11, 2018 at the Piney Grove East Missionary Baptist Church, 1708 Ansonville Rd., Marshville, NC 28103.
Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery
A public viewing will be held 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm Thursday, May 10, 2018 at Harris Funeral Home & Cremations of Monroe, NC, whom is serving the Clark, Staton and extended family.
Deaconess Ada was born on Tuesday, October 2, 1928, to the union of the late Mr. Cicero and Mrs. Rachel Geneva Rorie Staton in Union County, North Carolina.
Deaconess Ada joined Piney Grove East Misionary Baptist Church at an early age. She was a devoted Deaconess who loved the Lord and her church. She was a good and faithful servant who served her church through several ministries; President of the Usher Board, member of the Missionary Circle, and taught Sunday School.
Deaconess Ada was united in Holy Matrimony to Robert Vernon "B" Clark, who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death are a son, James Earl Clark; her parents; three brothers, Leroy Staton, James Staton and Raymond Staton and a sister, Flossie Lee Bivens.
She leaves cherished memories to one daughter, Margaret Monroe (Melvin) of Indian Trail. NC; four sons, Minister Robert Clark, Jr.,of Monroe, NC, Roy Clark of Charlotte, NC, James Larry Clark of Huntersville, NC and Curtis Clark of the home; one brother, Harvey Staton (Irene) of Monroe, NC; adopted sister, Ruby Wright of Monroe, NC; 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
