Mrs. Adelaide H. Hodges, 98 of 541 Greensboro Street, Asheboro, NC, passed away Thursday, July 5, 2012, at Asheboro Health and Rehab Center in Asheboro, NC.

Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 12, 2012 at St. Luke United Methodist Church, where she was the oldest member, with Pastor Pamela Blackstock, officiating.  Burial will be in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

She was a native of Asheboro and a retired educator with the Asheboro City Schools.  She was the widow of Charles C. Hodges, Sr.

She is survived by her son, Charles C. Hodges, Jr., of Seagrove, NC; grandchildren, Dana S. Hodges of Greensboro, NC, Charla J. Hodges of Raleigh, NC and D. Chavis Hodges of Asheboro, NC; one great-grandson, Cha'syn Miller.

Public visitation will be from 12: noon until 6p.m. on  Wednesday, at C. C. Hodges Funeral and Cremation Chapel in Asheboro and at other times will be receiving friends at the residence of her son on Little Bean Store Road in Seagrove, NC.  C. C. Hodges Funeral and Cremation Service, Asheboro, NC, is in charge of arrangements  and Harris Funeral Homes and Cremation Services of Mt. Gilead, NC, is assisting the Hodges Family.
