MRS. ALBERTA THOMPSON MARSH, 82 of WINGATE,  NC passed away Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at Brookdale Assistant Living in Monroe, NC.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, October 13, 2018 at the Harris Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Monroe, NC with Private Interment for the family only will follow in the Walker's Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Wingate, NC.

A public vieiwng will be held 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm Friday, October 12, 2018 at Harris Funeral Home & Cremations of Monroe, NC. Whom is serving the Marsh, Thompson and extended families.

Born Friday, September 4, 1936 in Union County, NC, a daughter of the late Reverend Chester and Rosa Lee Hicklen Thompson.  Mrs. Marsh was graduate of Western Union High School  and at an early age joined Union Chapel Baptist in Monroe, NC and later joined Walker's Grove Baptist Church in Wingate, NC where she served as a Deaconess. She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings; L.C. Thompson, Shelly Hailey, Jerry Thompson and Marvin Thompson.

She leaves to cherish fond and loving memories to her husband; Dalton L. "Link" Marsh and her children; Gladys Hall of Marshville, NC, Evelyn Allen of Charlotte, NC and Dalton L. Marsh, Jr., Granchildren; Melissa Hough (Corey), Matoka Nixon, Jashani Nixon, Carisa Allen and Carla Allen, Great-grandchildren; Jaylen, Janay, Tarry, Terrell and Cori. Three Brothers; Doffer Thompson (Lena) of Charlotte, NC, George Thompson (Brenda) of Matthews, NC and Chester Thompson ( Beverly) of Fayetteville, NC, One Uncle; Willie Hicklen of Monroe, NC,Sisters-In-Law; Callie Thompson and Nancy Hailey and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
