Alfred Leake

MR. ALFRED LEAKE, 64 of MOUNT GILEAD, NC, passed away Saturday, January 5, 2019 at the Complete Care Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Charlotte, NC.

A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 11, 2019, at the Mountain Grove / Ingram Chapel AME Zion Church,  3408 NC Hwy 73 East, Mount Gilead, NC.

Alfred was a Montgomery County native, born Wednesday, March 24, 1954, to the late George Washington Leake and Cora Robinson Leake.  He was self employed and joined the United States Army.

Preceeding him in death, were his parents; sisters, Bernice Leake and Linda Pemberton and brothers, Craven Leake and Bonnie Leake.

Those left to cherish memories are his six brothers, Glenn Leake, Larry Leake, both of Mount Gilead, NC, Harvey Leake of Albemarle, NC, James Leake of Charlotte, NC, George Leake of Red Springs, NC and David Franklin Leake of Hamlet, NC; three sisters, Bessie Mae Medley, Vera Morman (Clarence) and Miriam Leake, all of Mount Gilead, NC; three aunts, Dorothy Bogan of Ellerbe, NC, Mae Catherine Thomas of Plainfield, NJ and Ruth Robinson of Mount Gilead, NC; sisters-in-law, Linda Leake, Annie Leake and Gwen Glee and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
