Alice Faye (Little) Horne

MRS. ALICE FAYE LITTLE HORNE, 65, of MOUNT GILEAD, NC, formerly of Dry Creek Community, Candor, NC, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, November 4, 2014.  Funeral Services will be held 2pm Sunday, November 9, 2014, at Wadeville AME Zion Church, 1433 Bruton-Carpenter Rd., Wadeville Community, Mount Gilead, NC 27306, with the Rev. Martha Greene, pastor, eulogist. Interment will follow in Bruton Cemetery in the Wadeville Community. A public viewing will be held 12 noon to 7pm Saturday, November 8, 2014, at Harris Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Mount Gilead.

Born in Anson County, NC, on Monday, April 18, 1949, she was a daughter of the late James Edward "Bubba" and Bernice Armstrong Little.  Faye, as she was fondly called, was a member of Greenlake Congregational Church in Pekin, NC., and attended Peabody High School in Troy, NC.  She was a long time employee of McRae Industries in Wadeville, NC, until her health began to decline.  She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, David Mitchell  " Mitch" Horne, Sr., on July 10, 2011, her parents, grandparents, a brother, Rev. James Little, and  a sister, Verna Bell "Shorty" Little Christian.

Those left to cherish loving and fond memories are her devoted children; 6 daughters; Christine Horne of Albemarle, NC, Rhonda Horne (Anthony) of Mount Gilead, NC, Regina Crump (Curtis) of Burnsville, NC, Natasha Horne of Rockingham, NC, Marie Cauls (James) of Mount Gilead, NC, and Michelle Horne of Albemarle, NC; one son, David " Blue" Horne, Jr., of Albemarle, NC; two sisters; Laura Little and Karen Robinson (William), all of Rockingham, NC; three aunts, Elmer, Dollie Mae and Elaine; four uncles; Narlie, Douglas, Bobby Louis, and Billy Frank ; 21 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren; special friends and family; Brenda Lilly, Tony and LaVaughn Horne, Sarah Barrett, Margaret Scarboro, Leah Little, Trish Collins and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and other relatives and  dear friends.
