Alvin Edwin (Avenue) Brewer

MR. ALVIN EDWIN  "Avenue"  BREWER, 42 of MONROE, NC passed away Sunday, January 26, 2020 at Atrium Health / Union in Monroe, NC.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 pm Sunday, February 2, 2020 at the Piney Grove East Missionary Baptist Church, 1708 Ansonville Rd., Marshville, NC. His remains will lie in repose 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the church prior to the service.  Interment will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park, 1901 Lancaster Avenue, Monroe, NC.

A public viewng will be held 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm Saturday. February 1, 2020 at Harris Funeral Home & Cremations of Monroe, NC.

Born Sunday, June 12, 1977 a son of Flora O. Brewer and the late Alvin Edwin Houser.  He was educated in the Public  Schools of Union County, NC  and was the owner of All-In-Line Trucking Company. "Avenue" as he was so fondly called by family and friends, was a genuine person with a big heart and a quiet spirit.  His character spoke loud and clear, when ever there was a need he was always there to help and he was always a joy to be around. "Avenue" enjoyed playing Ping-Pong, being with family and spending time alone.  He was also preceded in death by his father.

He leaves to cherish fond and loving memories to his daughter; Tamia Redfern and Fiance' Tamiko Redfern, both of Indian Trail, NC; his mother; Flora O. Brewer of Monroe, NC; two sisters, Twanna Brewer and Monica Deese (Terry), both of Indian Trail, NC; one brother; Timothy Brewer of Monroe, NC and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.  "Avenue" will truly be missed by all who knew him.
