Alvin Depriest Howard

MR. ALVIN DEPRIEST HOWARD, 42 of MONROE, NC passed away Monday, July 27, 2015.  A memorial service will held 2pm Saturday, August 1, 2015 at Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church, 503 Maurice St., Monroe, NC 28112. Visitation will be held 1:30 pm to 2:00 pm prior to the Service at the Church.

Born Friday, November 24, 1972 in Charlottesville, VA a son of Mildred Elizabeth Byrd Howard of Monroe, NC and the late Alvin Edward Howard.

Alvin was a 1991 graduate of Monroe High School and attended Livingstone College in Salisbury, NC and was employed by Fed Ex Corporation in Charlotte, NC. He loved cooking, grilling out and having cook offs was his most favorite hobby.

He leaves to cherish fond and loving memories to his wife; Kellie Hughes Howard of the home; three sons; Javin Howard, Desmond Howard and Sean Howard all of the home; mother; Mildred B. Howard of Monroe, NC; three step-sisters; Juanita Howard, Zeneida Howard and Teletha Howard all of Charlottesville, VA; two aunts; Hettie B. Wright of Monroe, NC and Jessie Mae Byrd of Los Angeles, CA; three uncles; James Harold Byrd (Maggie), Danny Byrd, Jr. and Willie Byrd (Drucilla) all of Monroe, NC; mother in law; Dorothy Hughes Wright and father in law; James Wright; two sisters in law; Jennifer Wright and Sylvia Wright all of Monroe, NC and a host of cousins and friends.
