MR. AMBROSE CONRAD McAULEY, 55 of GREENSBORO, NC, formerly of MOUNT GILEAD, NC, transitioned Thursday, March 9, 2017, at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro, NC.
Funeral Service will be held 12:00pm Saturday, March 18, 2017 at Leah Richter Levin Memorial Auditorium, 102 School St., Mount Gilead, NC 27306. A public viewing will be 1:00pm until 7:00pm Friday at Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Mount Gilead, NC
" Am" and " Mac" as he was fondly called, was born on September 22, 1961, to Mrs. Alberta Dumas McAuley and the late Carlie James "CJ" McAuley. His father, CJ and brother, Lewis McAuley, preceded him in death.
Ambrose attended the Montgomery County Public Schools and graduated from West Montgomery High School class of 1980. After graduated from Sandhills Community College, Southern Pines, where he specialized in Electronic Servicing..
He later relocated to New Jersey, where he lived 14 years, and became employed with Marcel Paper Mill, MCS Business Machines, and Harry Strauss and Son as a Field Service Technician. He also attended the National Education Center, where he became a Certified Computer Electrician.
After his time in New Jersey, he relocated to Greensboro, he made many friends through his passion of Dee jaying and his love for having a good time. Mac always welcomed everyone with open arms and no one was a stranger to him. He loved to be surrounded by family and friends.
Ambrose is survived by his beloved mother, Mrs. Alberta Dumas McAuley of Mount Gilead, NC; two devoted daughters, Ashley McAuley of Baltimore, MD and Ariana McAuley of Paris, France; two grandchildren, Khamari McAuley and Noah McAuley-Artis; three devoted sisters, Gloria Berry (Darryl) of Greensboro, NC, Gwen Smalls (Albert) of Moncks Corner, SC and Angela Martin(Billy) of Winston-Salem, NC; five devoted brothers; Cephus McAuley of Pikeville, NC, Eldon McAuley(Grace) of Plainfield, NJ, Earl McAuley (Renee) of Piscataway, NJ, Alvin Kent McAuley (Toni) and Tim McAuley(Lesley) all of Mount Gilead, NC; two grandchildren; uncles Asia Dumas (Shirley) and Frank Dumas of New Jersey; and a host of very close nieces, nephews, cousins and very dear friends.
