MR. ANDREW "Bucket" GRIER, 77 of CHARLOTTE, NC died Friday, September 5, 2014 at his home. Funeral Services will be held 12 noon Friday, September 12, 2014 at Pleasnt Hill Baptist Church, 517 Baldwin Avenue, Charlotte, NC, Reverend J.A. Cuthbertson, Pastor, Eulogist, Visitation will be held 11am to 12 noon prior to the Service at the Church, Interment will follow in York Memorial Park in Charlotte, NC.

Born Thursday, Decemebr 10, 1936 in Lancaster County, SC a son of the late Robert Lee  and Allie Massey Grier .  Andrew "Bucket" was a graduate of Second Ward High School in Charlotte, NC  where he was a dedicated Alumnist and won "King" of of the Alumni for many years.  He attended Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Charlotte, NC, he also enjoyed the Race Track and working on Cars, in his early years he went to work for Alfredia Flowers at Park Road Shopping Center in Charlotte, NC for many years and also  for Mrs. Billie Kanupke and her sister Miss Martha Auten until his retirement doing Landscaping.  He was preceded in death by  his parents; two sisters Eliza Mae Coleman and Johnnie B. Caldwell; two brothers; Robert L. Grier and Saleem Sabir.

He leaves to cherish fond and loving memories to three daughters; Bridgette D. Moultrie, Angelia Y. Craig and   Jewel Hokett all of Charlotte, NC four Grandchildren; William Craig, Jr. ( Y'Cara), Jenesia Craig, Chyna Hokett and Shamar Moultrie and one great-grandchild; Amor'a Craig; one brother;  Euguene Grier of Jacksonville, FL, two sisters; Ethel Frances Grier and Sandra Evans (James) of Charlotte, NC; a special devoted friend; Carrie Grier of Charlotte, NC  and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Harris Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Monroe, NC is in charge of all arrangements.
