Angela Vanessa (Houston) Bailey

MRS. ANGELA VANESSA HOUSTON BAILEY, 50 of CHARLOTTE, NC, formerly of MONROE, NC, passed away Sunday, May 10, 2020, at the Cancer Treatment Center of America in Newnan, GA.

Private Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2020, with Private Interment following the service.

A Public Viewing will be held 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm Friday, May 15, 2020 at  Harris Funeral Home & Cremations of Monroe, NC which is serving the Bailey, Houston and extended families.

Angela Vanessa Houston Bailey , was born on Monday, October 6, 1969, in Union County, Monroe, NC, to Cauthen and the late Hubert Milton Houston, Sr.  She entered into eternal rest on Sunday, May 10, 2020, in the Cancer Treatment Center of America, located in Newnan, Georgia.

Angela graduated from Monroe High School Class of 1988.  Her last place of employment was the United States Postal Service as a Rural Carrier until her health declined.

Angela was united in holy matrimony to her spouse, Winstton Bailey.

Angela leaves to cherish and to honor her memories to her husband, Winstton Bailey of Charlotte, NC; her daughter, Ke'la Iman Thomas of Charlotte, NC; her mother, Mrs. Cauthen M. Houston; three brothers, Hubert Houston, Jr., both of Monroe, NC, Lewis Houston of Charlotte, NC and Keith Houston of Lancaster, SC; four sisters, Carolyn Houston, Leisa Houston, Betty Blakeney and Curly Trull, all of Monroe, NC; two sisters-in-law, Denise Houston of Monroe, NC and Darlene Houston of Charlotte, NC; one uncle Mitchell McLendon of Bridgeport, Conn; one aunt, Elizabeth Houston of Wingate, NC; special friends, Ronda Tyson and Cindy Carillo Meaders; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

I thought of you with love today, but that is nothing new,

I thought about you yesterday, and days before that, too.

I think of you in silence, I often speak your name,

All I have are memories, and your picture in a frame.

Your memory is my keepsake, with which I'll never part,

God has you in His keeping, I have you in my heart.
