Angenetta (Davis) Miller

MRS. ANGENETTA DAVIS MILLER, 96 of MONROE, NC passed away Sunday, December 20, 2020 at her home.

Funeral Services will be held 1:00 pm Monday, December 28, 2020 at the Harris Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Monroe, NC.  Interment will follow in the Suncrest Cemetery in Monroe, NC.

A public viewing will be held 1:00 pm  to 5:00 pm Sunday, Decemebr 27, 2020 at Harris Funeral Home & Cremations of Monroe, NC.

Angenetta (Angie) Davis Miller, was born on Wednesday, July 2, 1924, in Williamsburg County, SC, to the late Peter and Mazena Rebecca Davis (Nelson).  She was baptized at an early age and became a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Salters, South Carolina..

On December 24, 1941, she married Jesse Neal Miller and from this union was born, Corrina, Mazena Rebecca and Bernetta (Bunny)..

Angie moved to Connecticut in 1953, where she worked for Majestic Laundry, Yale-New Haven Hospital and later as a private certified nursing assistant for over 20 years.

She was a dedicated member of First Calvary Baptist Church and Immanuel Missionary Baptist Church, both located in New Haven, Connecticut.  She moved to North Carolina in 2009 and became a member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in Charlotte, NC.

Angiie, affectionately called Gramps and GiGi, peacefully departed this life on Sunday, December 20, 2020.  She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Marie Green and Anna Brown; nephews, Ernest L. Bradley and Henry D. Bradley.

She leaves to cherish loving and fond memories to her children, Corrina Young (Zebeedee) of Monroe, NC, Mazena R. Miller of West Haven, CT., and Bunny Montgomery (Alphonso) of Monroe, NC; 5 grandchildren, Rev, Samuel V. Wilson of Concord, NC, Rodney Miller of West Haven, CT., Dr. Jennifer M. Montgomery of Matthews, NC, Tremayne Z Young of Hamden, CT;  5 great-grandchildren, Amari Wilson of Raleigh, NC, Taylor R. Wilson, of Raleigh, NC, Kaeden T. Miller of West Haven, CT., Anjali D. Miller of West Haven, CT and Peyton M. Mobley ot Matthews, NC;  2 nephews, Rev. Namon Bradley, Jr., (Linda) of New Haven, CT., and Melvin Bradley of New Haven, CT; sister-in-law, Evelena Miller of Salters, SC; and a host of family and friends.
