Ann Marie (Lilly) Morris

MRS. ANN MARIE LILLY MORRIS, 75 of MT. GILEAD, NC passed away Saturday December  4, 2021 at her home.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 am Saturday, December 11, 2021 at the Providence Missionary Baptist Church, 3807 NC Hwy.109 South, MT. Gilead, NC. Interment will follow in the Thomasville Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in MT. Gilead, NC.

(Due to the COVID 19 Pandemic everyone attending the Service and Public Viewing are required to wear a mask or facial covering.  Also please use the Hand Sanitizing Station when entering and exiting the Funeral Home.)

A public viewing will be held 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm Friday, December 10, 2021 at  Harris Funeral Home & Cremations of MT. Gilead, NC which is serving the Morris ,Lilly and extended families.

Mrs. Ann Marie Lilly Morris, a daughter of Mother Lucille Thomas Lilly and the late James Lilly, was born on June 17, 1946, in Montgomery County, NC.

Ann Morris , known as to family and friends, began her education in the Montgomery County School System and graduated from Peabody High School Class of 1962 in Troy, NC.

At an early age, Ann confessed Christ and joined Providence Missionary Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School Teacher and a faithful member until her health began to decline,  She was employed in the textile industry of Russ-Knit in Candor, NC and also Romans-Knit in Norwood, NC.

Ann was united in holy matrimony to Sherman Morris, whom preceded her in death.  Also preceding her in death was her father, Mr. James Lilly; a brother, Roger Lilly and a nephew, Sean Lilly.

Ann leaves to cherish loving memories to her mother, Mother Lucille Lilly of the home; two sisters, Phyllis Lilly McCauley of Mt. Gilead, NC and Betty R. Lilly of the home; one brother, Paul Lilly (Linda) of Richmond, VA; sister-in-law, Rhonda Lilly of Greensboro, NC; two nieces, Tanyeal Spencer (Preston) of Rockingham, NC and Latoya Hodge (Julius) of Arkansas; two nephews, Tyrone Horne (Sarah) of Idaho Falls, Idaho and Nicholas Lilly of Fairfax, VA; great-niece, Kayla Bowden of the home and a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, and friends..
