Anna Marie Leak

MISS ANNA MARIE LEAK, 41 of MT. GILEAD, NC a daughter of the late Thomas William LeGrand, Sr. and Josephine LeGrand Leak passed away Monday, January 4, 2021 at First Health / Moore Regional Hospital, Pinehurst, NC.

Graveside Services will be held 12:00 pm Saturday, January 9, 2021 at the Chestnut AME Zion Church Cemetery, 7093 Grassy Island Rd., MT. Gilead, NC.

A Public Viewing will be held 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm Friday, January 8, 2021 at  Harris Funeral Home and Cremations of Mt. Gilead, NC.

(Due to the COVID 19 Pandemic everyone attending the Service and Viewing are required to wear a face mask  or facial covering and use the Hand Sanitizing Station when entering and exiting the Funeral Home.)

Anna Marie Leak, a daughter of the late Thomas William Leak, Jr., and Jospehine LeGrand Leak, was born on Saturday, April 14, 1979 in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina.  Her earthly life came to a close on Monday, January 4, 2021.

Anna attended the public schools of Montgomery County and graduated from West Montgomery High School and she attended Montgomery Community College, Troy, NC.  She joined Chestnut AME Zion Church at an early age and remained a faithful member until her death,  She attended services regularly and was a member of the church choir. Anna was employed by ARC for a nunber of  years,

Anna was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas William Leak, III.

She leaves to cherish her memories, three uncles, John W. LeGrand (Sheila) of Charlotte, NC, Thomas J. LeGrand of Mt. Gilead, NC and Harley D. LeGrand of Charlotte, NC; four aunts, Annie L. Timmons and Mary J. Bradshaw (Allison) all of Charlotte, NC, Nita L Harris (Reverend Howard) of Mt. Gilead, NC, and Rosa LeGrand of Ansonville, NC; 13 first cousins and a host of other relatives and dear friends.
