Archie Brandon Cuthbertson

MR. ARCHIE BRANDON CUTHBERTSON, 60 of MONROE, NC passed away Sunday, September 4, 2016 in Wilksboro, NC.  Funeral Services will be held 2:00pm Saturday, September 10, 2016 at Oakland Baptist Church, 600 East Sunset Dr., Monroe, NC 28110.

A visitation will be held 1:30pm to 2:00pm at the church prior to the service.

Military Honors and Interment will be held 9:00am Monday, September 12, 2016 at the Salisbury National Cemetery in Salisbury, NC.

Born on Friday, November 4, 1955, in Union County, NC, he was a son of the late  Otis John Franklin Cuthbertson and Willie Geneva Hudson Cuthbertson.  At an early age,  Archie was baptized and joined Morning Star AME Zion Church, where he worked and served faithfully until he decided to attend church with his mother to assist with her care. He later joined under watch care at Shekinah Glory Outreach and Worship Center, and later became a member there, working wherever he was needed.  He attended the public schools of Union County, NC and graduated from Sun Valley High School in 1974.  Archie served in the United States Army for 12 years. He was employed at various jobs and at the time of his demise,  he was employed by Levine Children's Center, a part of Carolinas Health Care System, Charlotte, NC.  In addition to his parents Archie was preceded in death his brother; Julius Larosa Cuthbertson.

He leaves to cherish his memories one son, Antwoin Cuthbertson of Mansfield, OH; two granddaughters, Ataya Cuthbertson and Abrionna Cuthbertson; two brothers, Melvin Cuthberson (Daisy) and Reverend Issac Cuthbertson, both of Monroe, NC; four sisters; Regina C. Scott (Rev. Dr. T.H.) of Monroe, NC, Pauline C. Testman of Atlanta, GA, Teresa C. Reid (Dr. William) of Evans, GA, and Andrea C. House (Ernest) of Marshville, NC; four aunts, Hallie Black of Matthews, NC, Barbara Cuthbertson of Monroe, NC, Josephine Little and Luella Cuthbertson, both of Charlotte, NC; one uncle, James Logan (Shelia) of Phoenix, AZ; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
