Bessie Ruth (Lee) Morrison

MRS. BESSIE RUTH LEE MORRISON, 86 of MONROE, NC passed away Saturday, April 9, 2022 at her home.

Funeral  Services will be held 1:00 pm Friday, April 15, 2022 at the Harris Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Monroe, NC.

(Due to the COVID 19, Pandemic everyone attending the Services and Public Viewing are required to wear a mask or facial covering. Also please use the Hand Sanitizing Station when entering and exiting the Funeral Home.)

A public viewing will be held 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm Thursday, April 14, 2022 at Harris Funeral Home & Cremations of Monroe, NC

Ruth was the youngest of the late John and Sophronia Crowder Lee was born on Monday, February 17, 1936 in Union County, North Carolina.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Morrison, whom she married to for 65 years; and a son, Samuel Eugene Morrison, Jr.. She was also preceded in death by eight siblings; Kate Stafford, Beulah Winchester, Lucille Rushing, Rachel Threatt, Warren Lee, Ervin Lee, George Lee, John Henry Lee and Pete Lee.  One surviving, Beatrice Ivey of Waxhaw, NC.

At an early age, she became a Christian and was a faithful member of the Kingdom Hall of Monroe for over 30 years.  Often called Ruth , she was dearly loved by family and friends.  She loved the Lord, family and spent most of the her life a devoted wife and mother.

She  leaves to cherish loving and fond memories to her children; Cynthia McLarty (Harvey) of Monroe, NC, Donna Morrison, Valerie Morrison and Broderick Morrison, all of Monroe, NC; three grandchildren, Shawn Morrison, Tianeisea McLarty and Tony Thompson, Jr. She had four great-grandchildren, and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.
