Beulah (Steele) Mcintyre

January 22, 1924 — February 2, 2020

MRS. BEULAH STEELE MCINTYRE, 96, of PETERSBURG, VA formerly of MT. GILEAD, NC passed away Sunday, February 2, 2020, at Colonial Heights Hospice Care, Colonial Heights, VA.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 pm Friday, February 7, 2020 at the St. Stephen AME Church, 1742 McKay Hill Road,  MT. Gilead, NC. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

A public viewing will be held 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm Thursday, February 6, 2020 at Harris Funeral Home and Cremations of MT. Gilead, NC which is serving the McIntyre, Steele, Parker and extended families.

On Sunday February 2, 2020, Beulah Steele McIntyre, answered the call, without hesitation that only she could answer and quietly fell asleep in the arms of Jesus.  She was born in Montgomery County, North Carolina on Tuesday, January 22, 1924, one of 12 children born to Nollie and Tabitha Little Steele.

Beulah was united in holy matrimony to Lee Theodore McIntyre and from that union was bless with two children, a daughter, Patricia and a son, Lee Irvin.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter; brothers, Thomas Steele, Monroe Steele, Sr., Nollie Steele, Jr., Alonzo Steele, Paul Steele; sisters, Nannie LeGrande, Janie Williams, Daisy S. Vick, Ethel Craig and Ruth Baldwin.

Beulah confessed Christ at an early age and joined St. Stephen AME Church, where she actively and faithfully served.  She aslo Mother of the Church.  Beulah was a devoted mother, who loved family and friends, reading the scriptures and working word search puzzles.  She retired from Collins and Aikman in Norwood, North Carolina.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories, her devoted son, Lee Irvin McIntyre, Sr, (Jean); four grandchildren, Lynese McIntosh (Dustin), Roberto L. McIntyre, Lee I. McIntye, Jr., and Trisha M. Brown (Vernell); one sister, Pauline Parker; niece Lorraine McLarty (like a daughter); 9 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
