Bobby Junior Steed

MR. BOBBY JUNIOR STEED, 82, of MOUNT GILEAD, NC passed away Sunday, April 22, 2018 at Autumn Care Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Biscoe, NC.

Funeral Services will be held 1:00 pm Thursday, April 26, 2018 at the Harris Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Gilead, NC. Interment will follow in Stanly Gardens of Memory in Albemarle, NC

A public viewing will be held 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at Harris Funeral Home & Cremations of Mount Gilead, NC, whom  is serving the Steed Family.

Bobby was born on Friday, November 22, 1935, in Montgomery County, NC to the late Grady and Iola Horne Steed.

He attended the public schools of Montgomery County and was an active member of Providence Missionary Baptist Church, where he was a Deacon and an Usher until his health began to decline.  He was retired from Lowe's of Albemarle, where he was a truck driver.

He was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Sarah Alsobrook Steed and to this union five children were born.  Sarah preceded him in death along with two son, Ervin Hill and Bobby Charles Steed; four sisters, Annette Davis, Maxine Christian, Gennell Foust and Thelma Stanback and one brother, Johnell Steed.  He will be sorely missed.

Those left  to honor his memory are his children, daughter, Mary Deberry (Kevin Scott) of Wadeville, NC,  Tim Steed of Mt. Gilead, NC, and Grady "Jody" Steed (Cotenia) Steed of Asheboro, NC; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
