Bobby Shepherd, Jr.

MR. BOBBY SHEPHERD  JR., 56, of ALBEMARLE  NC, formerly of MOUNT GILEAD, NC, passed away Monday, July 2, 2018 at Atrium-Mercy of Charlotte, NC.

Funeral Services will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday, July 8, 2018, at West Montgomery High School Auditorium, 147 Warrior Drive, Mount Gilead, NC, with the Reverend Dr. Charles Ingram, Eulogist..

Interment will follow in the Roper Grove AME Zion Church Cemetery in  Mount Gilead  NC.

Harris Funeral Home and Cremations of Mount  Gilead, NC, is serving the Shepherd, Bowden and extended families.

"Nig", as he was fondly called by family friends,  was born on Wednesday March 14, 1962, to the  late Bobby Shepherd, Sr., and Fannie Lee Bowden Shepherd in Montgomery County, NC.

He attended the public schools of Montgomery County and West Montgomery High School.  He was formerly employed in the textiles industry.  He was an active member of Roper Grove AME Zion Church, Mount Gilead, NC, where he was an Usher on the Usher Board and was one of the Church Van drivers and in any other capacities as needed.  He will be sorely missed by family, Church family and friends.

He was predeceased by his parents, Bobby Sr., and Fannie Shepherd, and a sister, Priscilla Shepherd Stanback.

Those left to cherish loving and fond memories are his three children; a daughter, Tabatha Little of Salisbury, NC, two sons, Resino Little of Rockingham  NC and Jairus Medley of High Point  NC, one sister, Brenda Shepherd of Kannapolis, NC; two brothers, Michael Shepherd of Harlem, NY and Kelvin Shepherd (Lakeisha) of Mount Gilead, NC; one granddaughter, Kalaya Little; one aunt, Evangelist Lola Tyson of Mount Gilead, NC; three uncles, Minister Frank Bowden(Virginia) of Jackson Springs, NC, Lonnie Bowden(Geraldine) of Raleigh, NC, and Bruce Shepherd of Miami, FL, a special friend, Karen Sellers of Albemarle, NC, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
