Brenda Beatrice (Leak) Henry

MS. BRENDA BEATRICE LEAK HENRY, 68 of MONROE, NC, passed away Saturday, September 19, 2015 at CHS-Union in Monroe, NC.  Funeral Services will be held 1pm Thursday, September 24, 2015 at the Nicey Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 318 Camden Rd., Marshville, NC 28103.  Dr. M.L. Kaufman, Pastor, Officiating, Revrend J.D. Mills, Eulogist.  Her remains will lie in repose 12 noon to 1pm prior to the service at the church.  Interment will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Monroe, NC.  A public viewing will be held 12 noon to 7pm Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at Harris Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Monroe, NC.

Born in Union County, NC, on Sunday, April 6, 1947, she was a daughter of the late Luther and Naomi Broadway Leak. She was a 1966 graduate of East Union School in Marshville, NC, and a member of Mt. Nebo Missionary Baptist Church in Waxhaw, NC,  and was a former employee of Bloomsburg Textile Company,  in Monroe, NC.

She was preceded in death by her parents; former husband, Fred Henry; one sister, Carolyn Sanders and a brother; Raymond Leak.

She leaves to cherish loving and fond memories to her son,  Ravon Leak (Natasha) of Charlotte, NC; one sister, Barbara Leak of Wingate, NC; two brothers, Bobby Broadway (Barbara) of Raleigh, NC and Kelly Leak (Betty) of Monroe, NC and a granddaughter Cierra Thompson of Charlotte, NC, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
