Carolyn Annette Ellerbe

MISS CAROLYN ANNETTE ELLERBE, 63 of WADESBORO, NC died Monday, May 19, 2014 at Carolinas Medical Center-University in Charlotte, NC.  Funeral Service will be held 1pm Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 612 Salisbury St., Wadesboro, NC 28170.  Visitation will be held 12 noon to 1pm at the church prior to the service, Interment will follow in the Westview Memorial Park in Wadesboro, NC. Public viewing will be held 12 noon to 5pm Monday, May 26, 2014 at  Harris Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Monroe.

Born in Anson County, North Carolina, Wednesday, March 21, 1951, she was  a daughter of the late Wade Tyler Ellerbe and Mary Johnson Ellerbe.  She was a 1969 graduate of Bowman High School of Wadesboro, NC and Livingstone College of Salisbury, NC to persue a degree in Business Administration. She was able to hone her skills in drafting and mathematics and became one of the most sought out computer illustrators for Sperry-Vac Computer of Washington, DC with many promotions. Carolyn later moved back to North Carolina where she nurtured her walk with the Lord and reunited with the Ebenezer Baptist Church in Wadesboro, NC where she served faithfully.  She was  preceded in death by her parents; six sisters; Josephine Borders, Tina Ellerbe, Penelope Braxton, Myrtle Page, Bobbie Jean Smith and Rosa Lee Ratliff and one brother; James Edward Ellerbe.

She leaves to cherish fond and loving memories to her three daughters; Monica Ellerbe-Scott of Bowie, MD and Rikki Keys  of  Clinton, MD and Kianna Ellerbe of Wadesboro, NC; four sisters Julia Ashe of San Bernadino, CA, Donnie Thompson of Pittsburg, PA, Margaret Cooper (Aubrey) of Upper Marlboro, MD and Reverend Sonya Ellerbe of Salisbury, NC; four brothers; William Ellerbe (Barbara) of Fayetteville, NC,Elder Charles Ellerbe (Beverly) of Sterling, VA; Bishop Walter Ellerbe (Sandra) of Wadesboro, NC and Anthony Ellerbe (Joyce) of Norwood, NC; 16 Grandchildren; and a host of neices, nephews, cousins and friends.
