Christine Aldrich (Redfern) Belton

MRS. CHRISTINE ALDRICH REDFERN BELTON, 94 of MONROE, NC, passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at her home .   Funeral Services will be held 1:00pm Thursday, July 28, 2016 at the Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church, 503 Maurice St., Monroe, NC  28112.  Bishop Osco E. Gardin, Jr., Pastor, will be the eulogist. Her remains wil lie in repose 11:55am to 12:55pm prior to the service at the church.  Interment will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Monroe, NC.  A visitation  will be held 6:00pm to 8:00pm  Wednesday, July 27, 2016, at Harris Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Monroe, NC.

Born Saturday, October 22, 1921 in Chesterfield County, SC, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Minnie Bouleware Redfern.  She was a retired  Educator in the Union County Public School System, a long time member of the Elizabeth Missionary Baptist of Monroe, NC, and a member of the local chapter of the Order of the Eastern Stars.  Mrs. Belton was the widow of the late Dr. E.L. Belton, Sr., and also preceded in death by a son Eddie Belton, Jr., and her four siblings.

She leaves to cherish loving and fond memories to her children; Surluta B. Anthony and Harold Belton both of Monroe, NC and Fronzena B. Autry (James) of Waxhaw, NC, six grandchildren and four great-grandchilldren.
