Claude Medley, Jr.

MR. CLAUDE MEDLEY, JR. 70 of ALBEMARLE, NC passed away Friday, October 8, 2021 at his home.

Funeral Services will be held 1:00 pm Sunday, October 17, 2021 at the Victory Temple Church, 713 Glendale Avenue, Albemarle, NC. There will be a 30 minute visitation prior to the service at 12:30 p.m. Interment will follow in Stanly Gardens of Memory in Albemarle, NC.

(Due COVID 19 Pandemic everyone attending the Service and the Public Viewing are required to wear a mask or facial covering.  Also please use the Hand Sanitizing Station when entering and exiting the Funeral Home.)

A public viewing will be held 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm Saturday, October 16, 2021 at Harris Funeral Home & Cremations of MT. Gilead, NC.

Claude Medley Jr., was born on Saturday, November 18, 1950 in Richmond County, NC, to Claude Medkey, Sr., and Gennie Mae Gould Medley.  Claude was called to his eternal home and recieved his wings on Friday, October 8, 2021.

"Fella" as he was fondly called by everyone, only finished the 11th grade and later went to work at Albemarle Spinning Mills, where he was employed for 18 years,  His last employment was at Gentry Mills.

Claude joined Victory Temple in 2007, where he played lead guitar.  He also played with  The Men Over 60.

Claude enjoyed talking on the phone with his friends and being with his family.  He loved his grandkids, but Miracle Jordan and Keman, had him wrapped around their fingers.  He was a man of many trades.

Claude "Fella" , was preceded in death by his parents, Claude Sr., and Gennie Mae Medley.

Claude leaves to cherish loving memories to his beloved wife of  45 years, Carlene Harris Medley; four daughters, Shannon (Marvin) McCauley, Jennifer Medley and Tia (Travis) McKenzie, all of Albemarle, NC and  Camille (Steve) Allen of Concord, NC; three sons, Dennis (Tika) Medley of Fayetteville, NC, Michael (Shannon) Harris of Albemarle, NC and Terrence Green of Minnesota; 12 grandchildren, Jordan, Miracle, Keman, Trayton, DaQueshia, Shandes, Damarius, Amya, Sunny, Emilia, Anequa and Quinn; 8 great-grands, Cameron, Karmyn, Akela, Adonis, Saniyah, Javalyn, Damarius Jr., and Dream ; sister, Evang. Josephine (Kenneth) Wall of Wadesboro, NC; brothers, Robert (LuLu) of Mt. Gilead, NC, Paul Edward Medley of FL., and  Elder James (Elder Joe Ann) Medley of Norwood, NC, aunt, Ruth Caple; uncle, Ruben Gould; best friends, Tim Shields, Jay McRae, Pastor Walter Pegues and Elder Doug Turner and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
