Cleodies "Beaver" Bowden

Cleodies " Beaver" Bowden,  69, a son of the late Lonnie and Naomi McAuley Bowden, was born March 25, 1943 in Montgomery County, North Carolina.  He departed this life on Saturday, June 30, 2012 in the Carolinas Medical Center-Main, Charlotte, NC.

Funeral services will be Friday, July 6, 2012, at St. Stephens United Church of God, Main Street, Troy, NC, with Elder Gregory Shepherd, Eulogist.  Burial will be in the Roper Grove Church Cemetery, Mt. Gilead, NC.

He received his Associate Degree in Auto Mechanics from Montgomery Community College, Troy,NC, a retiree of Montgomery Community College of over 20 years.  At his church, he was Sunday School Superintendent and a Deacon.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Shirley Pemberton Bowden of the home; one daughter, Delores Bowden Little (Rodney) of Asheboro, NC; three sons;  Minister Marvin Pemberton(Karen), of Jacksonville, Fla., Arthur Bowden(Jeannisa) and Cleodis Bowden(Melissa), all of Troy, NC: one sister, Lola Bowden Tyson of Troy, NC; four brothers, Lonnie Bowden, Jr.,(Geraldine Clegg) of Raleigh, NC, Hubert Bowden (Nettie) and Jimmy Bowden (Marsha) of Mt. Gilead, NC and Frank Bowden(Virginia) of Jackson Springs, NC; 12 grandchildren.   Harris Funeral Homes and Cremation Services was in charge of arrangements.
