MR. CLYDE OTHO CRAIG, 83 of MONROE, NC passed away Monday, April 8, 2019 at his home.
Funeral Services will be held 1:00 pm Monday, April 15, 2019 at the Flag Branch Missionary Baptist Church, 2619 Old Pageland Monroe Rd., Monroe, NC. Mr. Craig's remain will lie in repose one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park in Monroe, NC.
Harris Funeral Home & Cremations of Monroe, NC is serving the Craig and extended families.
Mr. Clyde Otho Craig, 83, was born on Thursday, September 12, 1937, in Union County, Waxhaw, NC, to the late Sallie Mae Craig Jones. He exchanged time for eternity on Monday, April 8, 2019.
Clyde attended Winchester Public Schools. He was employed with Kendrick Brick until he retired in 1985.
He was a member of Flag Branch Missionary Baptist Church, where he professed his love of Christ and enjoyed worship and fellowshipping with the saints'. He was also a member of the Hope Lodge #32 PHA of Monroe, NC.
Clyde was preceded in death by his mother; wife, Gertrude Allen Craig and two siblings, brother, Nathaniel Craig and sister, Evonne Collins.
Clyde leaves to cherish loving and fond memories to his five daughters; Etrulia Craig Mordago of Newark, NJ, Judy Houston of Waxhaw, NC, Jannis Clark of St. Louis, Utah, Laureen C. Matthews (Ernest) of Charlotte, NC and Claudia Chambers (Fred) of Monroe, NC; son, Haywood Duncan (Agress) of Monroe, NC; one sister, Ann Marie Hammonds; one sister-in-law, Ester Allen; one brother-in-law, Henry Allen (Glenda); 11 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; and a host on nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
