Clyde Cuthbertson

MR. CLYDE CUTHBERTSON, 90 of VERO BEACH, FL formerly of Union Co., NC passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2020  at the Vero Beach Hospice House in Vero Beach, FL.

Funeral Services will be held 1:00 pm Saturday, March 21, 2020 at Harris Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Monroe, NC.  Interment will follow in the Suncrest Cemetery in Monroe, NC. Due to COVID 19 (Coronavirus) for the safety of the family and public only 40 immediate family members will  be allow in the service.

A public viewing for the public will be held 11:45 am to 12:45 pm Saturday, March 21, 2020 in the chapel prior to the service.  Harris Funeral Home & Cremations of Monroe, NC is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Clyde Cuthbertson, a son of the late John Alexander Cuthbertson and Nan Price Cuthbertson, was born on Friday, September 12, 1930, in Union County, North Carolina.

Clyde attended the Public Schools of Union County, North Carolina.  He attended Nicey Grove Baptist Church, while he resided in Union County, before relocating to Vero Beach, Florida, where he resided for over 60 years.  He was employed by a construction firm as a roofer.  Clyde was an avid fisherman and loved to fish.

Clyde was preceded in death by his parents; wife Gladys Cuthbertson; one brother, C.D.  Cuthbertson; six sisters, Johnnie Davis, Amy Louise Faulkner, Annie Mae Crowder, Sarah Elma Allen, Betty Jo Caudle and Thelma Taylor.

He leaves to cherish loving and fond memories, to a host of nieces, nephews and cousins, who will miss him dearly.
