Cullbert (C.B.) Huntley

Mr. Cullbert (C.B.) Huntley, 69 of Monroe, NC died Thursday, June 6, 2013 at his home. Funeral Services will be held 1pm Thursday, June 13, 2013 at West Monroe Deliverance Center Church of God, 309 Clara St., Monroe, NC 28112.  Reverend Paul Hamilton, Eulogist, Burial will follow in the Piney Grove East Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Marshville, NC.  Public viewing will be held Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at Harris Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Monroe.

Cullbert (C.B.) as he was so fondly called was born Thursday, October 14, 1943 in Union County, NC a son of the late Brady Huntley and Alberta Taylor Huntley.  He was a retired roofer and was married to the late Maxine Huntley and to this union six children were born. C.B. was also preceeded in death by one son Rodney Huntley, three sisters; Connie Sloan, Rachel Bivens and Jessie Bowman; three brothers; Ricky Huntley Dennis Huntley and Wilson Huntley.

He leaves to cherish fond and loving memories; eight daughters; Barbara Wright, (George), Carletha Parker, (George), Janet Polk, (Luther), Tonya Huntley and  Tasha Huntley all of Monroe, NC, Annie Sowell of Wadesboro, NC, Christy Huntley of Jacksonville, FL and Mykia Huntley of Charlotte, NC; one son Mandel Huntley, (Rochelle) of Wadesboro, NC; three brothers; Brady J. Huntley, (Beverly) and Alberteen Huntley of Monroe, NC and Glendale Huntley, (Rita) of Marshville, NC; two sisters; Ginger Taylor, (George) and Elree Sangertary,(James) both of Wingate, NC; 20 Grandchildren, 14 Great-grandchildren; three brothers-in-law; five sisters-in-law; two special friends and a host of aunts, uncles, neices, nephews relatives and other friends.
