Cynthia Mae (Hill) Little

MRS. CYNTHIA MAE HILL LITTLE, 54 of MOUNT GILEAD, NC, formerly of Dry Creek Community Candor, NC, passed away Sunday, April 19, 2015 at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill, NC.  Funeral Services will be held 3pm Thursday, April 23, 2015 at Snow Hill AME Zion Church, 204 Snow Hill Church Rd., Mount Gilead, NC 27306. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.  A public viewing will be held 12 noon to 7 pm Wednesday, April 22, 2015, at Harris Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Mount Gilead, NC.

The life of our beloved angel, Cynthia Mae Hill Little, came to a close as she entered heaven's gate, on  Sunday, April 19, 2015, in the UNC's Hospital, Chapel Hill, NC.  She was born on October 29, 1960 in Mt. Gilead, NC, to Jennie Mae Baldwin Hill and the late Jessie James Hill, Sr.

Cynthia's unwavering faith in God, led her to join Greenlake Congregational Church in Candor, NC, at an early age where she received Christ.  She later joined Greater Saint Luke Holiness Church in Candor, NC, where she served on  the kitchen committee and sang on the adult choir.  Her passion for Christ led her to Thomas Chapel Baptist Church, Mt. Gilead, NC, where she joined under watch care and served on the usher board. Cynthia enjoyed spending time with her family and helping others.  She attended East Montgomery High School, Biscoe, NC.

She was united in holy matrimony to Richard Davis Little in Bennettsville, SC, in April of 1977,  and to this union one daughter was born.  Those preceeding her in death were her father, two brothers, Fredrick Hill and Johnnie Hill, 3 uncles, 3 aunts, 2 brothers-in-law.

She leaves to cherish loving and fond memories to her husband of 38 years,  Richard D. Little of the home; one daughter, Lowanna Michelle Little Hester (Michael) of Raleigh, NC; one step-granddaughter, Makayla; her mother, Jennie Mae Hill of Candor, NC; 5 brothers; Jessie James Hill, Jr., of Pinehurst, NC; Thomas Hill (Vanessa), Ivory Hill, Antonio Hill, all of Candor, NC and Robert Hill (Tonnette) of Sanford, NC; 6 sisters, Earnestine Cameron (James) of Greensboro, NC, Gracie Hill, Selma Hill, Mary Ann Hill, Martha Ann Hill, All of Candor, NC, Daphne DeBerry of Asheboro, NC; one uncle, Harvey Hill (Emma) of Wadeville, NC; 2 aunts, Josephine Baldwin of Candor, NC and Inez Marshall of Troy, NC; 6 sisters-in-law; Ruth Robinson, Jacqueline Smith (Artellia) and Marcella Leake, all of Mt. Gilead, NC, Sheila Hill of Troy, NC and Anita Hill of Washington, DC; 3 brothers-in-law; Robert Lee Little (Nonnie) of High Point, NC, James" Nick" Little of Mt. Gilead, NC and Alexander Little, Jr., of Biscoe, NC; a very special dear friend, Shirley Bowden of Troy, NC, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
