Cynthia Aretha Robinson

MS. CYNTHIA ARETHA ROBINSON, 59 of WINGATE, NC died Monday, July 28, 2014 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC.  Funeral Services will be held 2pm Saturday, August 2, 2014 at Piney Grove East Missionary Baptist Church, 1708 Ansonville Rd., Marshville, NC 28103, Reverend James Shine, Eulogist, Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.  A public viewing will be held 3pm to 7pm Friday, August 1, 2014 at Harris Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Monroe, NC.

Born Sunday, August 8, 1954 in Union County, NC to Mrs. Ruth Lotharp Robinson and the late Vasco Robinson, Sr. At an early age Cynthia joined Piney Grove East Missionary Baptist Church and attended Forest Hills High School in Marshville, NC and also was a graduate of Wingate University where she recieved her BS degree.  She was an educator, teaching in the Union County Public School System, her love for children led her to open her home to youth through despite care.  Cynthia also worked as an administrator fo the Union County Clerk of Courts.

Cynthia's memories will be cherished by her family consisting of her children DeDe Cox and James Sylvester Cox, IV of Charlotte, NC brothers Vasco Robinson, Jr., Billy Ray Robinson, Reginald Robinson, Lester James Robinson (Rose), Prentis Robinson all of Wingate, NC; sisters Doris Reece Robinson of Charlotte, NC, Sylvia Robinson, Angela Barrino (Calvin) of Monroe, NC  13 nieces and nephews, 21 beloved great-nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and dear friends.
