Daisy (Austin) Kilgo

MRS. DAISY AUSTIN KILGO, 86 of MONROE, NC, passed away Friday, May 1, 2015 at the Brian  Nursing  & Rehabilitation Center in Monroe, NC.  Funeral Services will be held 2pm Saturday, May 9, 2015, at the Harris Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Monroe, NC.  Interment will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Monroe, NC.  A public viewing will be held 12 noon to 7pm Friday, May 8, 2015 at Harris Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Monroe, NC

Born on Friday, November 30, 1928, in Greenwood County, SC,a daughter of the late Wright Austin, Sr. and Susan Qualls Austin.  Ms. Daisy Kilgo,  was known by everyone as a loving, joyful and  a most caring person anyone could have imagined.  She was well educated and was a very hard working woman.  She was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters; Bessie Ruth Kilgo and Gracie Mae Brewer; three sisters and four brothers.

She leaves to cherish loving and fond memories to one son; Richmond "Sonny" Kilgo, Jr. of Monroe, NC; two daughters; Maezetta Laney and Delores Barnes, both of Monroe, NC, and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and one great-great-great grandchild and a host of nieces,nephews, cousins, other relatives and dear friends.
