Dana Lynette White

MISS DANA LYNETTE WHITE, 43 of MONROE, NC, passed away Saturday, August 22, 2020 at Atrium Health-Main in Charlotte, NC.

Graveside Services will be held 11:00 am Saturday, August 29, 2020 at Lakeland Memorial Park, 1901 Lancaster Avenue, Monroe, NC. (Due to the COVID 19 pandemic everyone attending the service are required to wear a mask of facial covering for public safety).

A Public Viewing will be held 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm Friday, August 28, 2020 at Harris Funeral Home & Cremations of Monroe, NC.

Dana Lynette White, daughter of James and Shirley White, was born on Monday, May 16, 1977, in Union County, Monroe, North Carolina.

There are those that are born and never make an impact on this world; that is ot the case for Dana ..  She positively impacted  all those she came in contact with whether it was just a chance meeting, or you were blessed to have her on your life's journey.  Dana had a huge creative spirit.  She cultivated these God given talents by designing unique jewelry and greeting cards.  She was also  huge music lover.  You could sing half a bar and without missing a beat tell you the artist, song name and when it was produced.

Dana had an ability to change ordinary words into works of art.  And this is evident in her career choice.  Dana over the last decade worked in the Children's Department of the Union County Library where she imparted her creativity and joy of words to the children that participated in her storytime hours.

Dana, a proud eagle-graduating from the illustrious North Carolina Central University in Durham, North Carolina.

Dana leaves to carry her spirit her mother and father; James and Shirley White; her brother, Brian White, Sr., of Wingate, NC; a nephew, Brian White, Jr., and a niece, Ashley Polk of Durham, NC; uncles; Larry Doster (BeBe) of Marshville, NC, Quinitus Doster of Rock Hill, SC, Waymon White (Barbara White) of Waxhaw, NC and Eric White (Tanya) of Charlotte, NC; an aunt, Ann Crawford of Monroe, NC; as well as a host of cousins and friends.
