Dawayne Lamont Smith

MR. DAWAYNE LAMONT SMITH, 39 of HIGH POINT, NC passed away Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at Moses Cone Health Hospital in Greensboro, NC.

Graveside Service will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, November 11, 2021 at  the Thomasville Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, 233 Thomasville Church Road, MT. Gilead, NC.

(Due to the COVID 19 Pandemic everyone attending the Service and Public Viewing are required to wear a mask or facial covering.  Also please use the Hand Sanitizing Station when entering and exiting the Funeral Home.)

A public viewing will be held 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm Wednesday, Novemebr 10, 2021 at Harris Funeral Home & Cremations of MT. Gilead, NC which is serving the Smith,Thomas and extended families.

DaWayne Lamont Smith , a son of Janice Thomas and the late Robert William Parker, was born on Thursday, March 25, 1982 in Forsyth County, North Carolina.  He departed this earthly life on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 in the Cone Health, Greensboro, NC.

DaWayne attended Andrews High School in High Point, NC. DaWayne was a compassionate, kind and sensitive person.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert William "Sonny" Parker; brother, Benji Hill; maternal grandparents, Vaggaree "Sue" Smith and James Smith; paternal grandfather, Robert Parker.

DaWayne leaves to cherish and to honor his memories; one daughter, Delecca Bre'Shonna Crouch; mother, Janice Thomas; three sisters, Jennifer Miller (Curtis), Nakia Jerry (Andre') and Charnissa Carpenter; four brothers, Michael Smith (Angela), Eric Thomas (Quintina) Adam Smith (Lanisha) and Kelsey Hill; grandmother, Pauline S. Parker, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
