MRS. DELRHEE DEE SMITH CHAMBERS, 65 of MONROE, NC passed away Sunday, June 27, 2021 at Atrium Health / Union in Monroe, NC.
Funeral Services will be held 3:00 pm Saturday, July 3, 2021 at the Greater Blessed Hope Baptist Church, 3607 Andrew Jackson Dr., Waxhaw, NC. Mrs. Chambers remains will lie in repose 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm prior to the service at the church.
(Due to the COVID 19 Pandemic everyone attending the Services and Public Viewing are required to wear a mask or facial covering. Also please use the Hand Sanitizing Station when entering and exiting the Funeral Home.)
A public viewing will be held 2:00pm to 6:00 pm Friday, July 2, 2021 at Harris Funeral Home & Cremations of Monroe, NC.
Mrs. Delrhee Dee Smith Chambers, a daughter of the late Cornelius Smith Jr., and Mildred Vivian William Smith, was born on Tuesday, July 26, 1955 in Jacksonville, Florida. She departed this life on Sunday, June 27, 2021.
Delrhee was educated in the public schools of Ribault High School in Jacksonville, Fl> She was employed as a CNA fir iver 20 years, Delrhee confessed her life to Christ in the early 2000's and she was a proud member of the Greater Blessed Hope Baptist Church, where she was an active member until her untimely illness.
She was preceded in death by nher parents; her husband, Julius Chambers, a brotherm Kenneth C. Smith and a sister, Cornela E. Smith.
She leaves to cherish fond and loving memories ro three daughters, Melissa Knight (Jermaine) of Jacksonville, Fl., Latasha Cash (Jackie) and Ebony Smith, all of Monroe, NC; one sister, Corneila Smith Brannon of Jacksonville, FL; four grandchildren, Samantha Morgan, Quentin Hood, Corby Heath and Amon Chambers; great-granddaughter, Neveah Tolbert, and a special nephew, Antoine Briggs, and a host of uncles, other nephews, cousins and friends.
