Derrick Marlon Tanner

MR. DERRICK MARLON TANNER, 37 of MARSHVILLE, NC passed away Thursday, March 29, 2018 at his home.

Funeral Services will be held 3:00 pm Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at the Harris Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Monroe, NC. Dr. L. D. Williams, Eulogist.  Interment will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Monroe, NC.

Derrick was born in Union County, NC,  Monday, November 10, 1980.  He was a son of the late Eddie David Tanner and Loretta Belk Tanner.  He attended Forest Hills High School in Marshville, NC and later earned a Bachelor of Science in Business from Ashford University and was working on his Masters in Business at Strayer University.

The memories of our beloved love one will be FOREVER cherished by: his brother, Rodney Tanner of Charlotte, NC, his legal guardian-aunt, Audrey Bivens (Larry) of Monroe, NC; his aunts, Burnette Ashcraft of Asheboro, NC, Rachel Belk and Mary Belk,  both of Wingate, NC, Rosetta Belk of Warrenton, NC, Emma Tanner, Louise Tanner and Olemar Faulkner, all of Marshville, NC; two uncles,  John Belk (Gwen) of Raleigh, NC and Ripton Brown of Arizona; one nephew, Trey Tanner; one special cousin,  Dwayne Tanner and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
