Dietrich Durand Grady

MR. DIETRICH DURAND GRADY, 40 of MINERAL SPRINGS, NC ​passed away Friday, September 29, 2017 at his home.

Funeral Services will be held 12:00 pm Thursday, October 5, 2017 at the Nicey Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 318 Camden Rd., Marshville, NC 28103. Dr. M. L. Kaufman, Pastor, Eulogist.

​Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

​A public viewing will be held 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm Wednsday, October 4, 2017 at Harris Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Monroe, NC.

Dietrich Durand Grady, the son of the Charlene Robinson Grady Morrison and the late Rev. Edward Elois Grady, was born on August 10, 1977, in Union County, North Carolina.  He transitioned from this life into eternal rest on Friday September 29, 2017.

Dietrich attended Western Union Elementary and Parkwood Middle Schools.  Under his Dad's leadership, he grew up in both Silver Run Church and Holy Band Churches.  As an adult, he joined New Life Christian Ministries inder the leadership of Pastor Timothy Bailey.  He later joined Nicey Grove Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. M.L. Kaufman.

Dietrich was an amazing singer, producer, composer and musician.  He served Union and surrounding counties with his musical gifts and talents.  That gave him the opportunity to help area churches with their projects, which untimately lead him to form his group, P.O.P (People of Purpose).  At the tine of his death, he served both  Olive Branch and Nicey Grove Missionary Baptist Churches as Minister of Music.

He was preceded in death by his father, the late Rev. Edward Elois Grady; paternal grandparents, Bertha Anthony Grady and Verle Grady; maternal grandparents, Charlie and Hattie Robinson.

He leaves to cherish loving and fond memories to his wife, Tamika Miller Grady of the home; his mother, Charlene Grady Morrison (Rev. Robert); two sisters,   Debra Watts of Indian Trail, NC and Sharon Perkins (Jeff) of Monroe, NC; one brother, Warren Grady of Indian Trail, NC; step-sisters, Deena Kilgo (Rev. Aaron), Larretta Dickerson (Ron); step-brother, Robert Morrison, Jr (Darlene); mother-in-law, Patricia White Rivers (Louis) of Pageland, SC; father-in-law, John David Miller (Judy) of  Cassatt, SC; aunt, Minister Georgia Mae Covington of Marshville, NC; step-grandmother, Ethel White Robinson of Monroe, NC; sister-in-law, Latonya Miller of Kannapolis, NC; two brothers-in-law, Derek Miller of Mt. Gilead, NC, and Eric Miller (Toni) of Atlanta, GA; two God children, Deveah Miller and Jayden Bruton, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and dear friends,
