Funeral Services will be held 12 noon Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at Newtown Road Community Church, 7513 Broomes Old Mill Rd., Waxhaw, NC, Bishop Harry Brown, Eulogist, burial will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park, 1901 Lancaster Avenue, Monroe, NC

Born July 28, 1939 in Union County, NC a son of the late John Robert and Magdalene Covington Lowery

He leaves to cherish loving and fond memories to his wife of over 50 years Kay Brunson Lowery of the home; one son; Mitchell Ray Lowery (Christal) of Monroe, NC; one daughter; Beathra "BeBe" Lowery of Charlotte, NC four grandchildren; Lauren J. Butler (Derreall) of Monroe, NC, Christopher A. Lee of of Charlotte, NC; Jared M. Lee of Marshville, NC and Christen R. Lowery of Shelby, NC; one great-grandchild Kendric D. Butler of Monroe, NC; Step-Mother Myrtle Lowery of Greensboro, NC; one half sister Cavada N. Brooks (James) of Greensboro, NC; Mother in law Beatrice Brunson of Monroe, NC ; two brothers in law, six sisters in law, a host of neices, nephews, cousins and close friends.

Public viewing will be held Tuesday, October 12, 2012, 12 noon to 7pm at Harris Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Monroe.
