Born Sunday, April 3, 1938 in Trelawyn, Jamaica a daughter of the late Franklyn and Ethel Brown Scarlett. Eda "Nez" as she was called by everyone because thats how it is in Jamaica no one ever call you by your given name. Eda was married to Ferdy Harvey on March 6, 1960. Ferdy being a musician and choir director helped her to master her God blessed talent as an anointed singer. Together they sang across the Island of Jamaica. In the '60s and '70s from one church to tent revivals, you would hear the names of Bro. & Sis. Harvey, people would rush to the alter because they knew they were in for a blessing and it was going be an amazing move of God that words fail to adeqately express. To God be the glory!
Eda is gone home to glory. She is gone ahead of her siblings Leo, Hyacinth and Glenville; her children Horace, Delores, Joan, Beverley, Devonry, Sharon, Garfield, Tashika and Morvin; her grandchildren Richard, Almando, Ammaria, Devonry, Cleveland, Melicia, Krystal, Brittani, Shakeyra, Calvin, Jasmine and Maya; her great-grandchildren Jaelin, Jada, Jenna, Jianna, Jaiden, Keri and Christina-Marie and Justin on the way. They will miss her dearly... they miss her a whole lot. They may cry at times, however, they will laugh at times, because they are many fond memories.
