Edna Mae (Barrino) Allen

MRS. EDNA MAE BARRINO ALLEN, 71 of MONROE, NC, passed away Saturday, February 20, 2016 at CHS Union in Monroe, NC.

Funeral Services will be held 2pm Thursday, February 25, 2016 ,at the Harris Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Monroe, NC. A public viewing will be held 1pm to 2pm prior to the service in the Chapel.  Interment will follow in the Williams Cemetery in Polkton, NC.

Born in Union County, NC, Monday, February 12, 1945, she was a daughter of the late Will and Ola Mae Taylor Barrino.  She was a retired Food Service Coodinator at Wingate University in Wingate, NC.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Henry Lee Allen, sons, Henry Lee Allen, Jr., and Nelson Lee Allen; a daughter, Teresa Allen; two grandchildren, Shawn Alexander Allen and Kewonda Allen.

Those left to cherish loving memories are her 4 daughters; Margie Allen Borden of Polkton, NC, Margaret Allen (Bill) of Charlotte, NC, Mary Ann Allen of the home and Kimberly Allen of Charlotte, NC; four sisters-in-law; Mary Bell Taylor (Louis) of Statesville, NC, Sudie Allen of Monroe, NC, Fayelinda(Michael) of Polkton, NC and Joyce Allen of Monroe, NC; one brother-in-law, Billy Allen (Sheila) of Monroe, NC; 25 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
