MRS. ELLA MAE GIBSON McCRAY, 76 of MONROE, NC passed away Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at Atrium Health / University City in Charlotte, NC.

Graveside Services will be held 2:00 pm Thursday, November 19, 2020 at Lakeland Memorial Park, 1901 Lancaster Avenue, Monroe, NC

(Due to the COVID 19 Pandemic everyone attending the service must wear a face mask or facial covering and during the public viewing at the funeral home).

A public viewing will be held 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm  Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at Harris Funeral Home & Cremations of Monroe, NC which is serving the McCray, Gibson and extended families.

Ella Mae McCray (Gibson) was born in Monroe, on May 1944.  She got married Alphonso McCray in August of 1964.  They established their forever homes and foundation the forward.  She wore many hats in her lifetime.  She practiced her skills in alterations, housekeeping, and as a lovely wife and homemaker.  She was involved ind her religious faiths and practices of Christianity as an ordained minister and prayer interceder. Her religious beliefs and faith shined through with her presence and demeanor.

Ella Mae McCray is survived by her husband of 56 years; Alphonso McCray of the home; eight children; Adonica Threatt ( GaryThreatt), Alphonso D. McCray, Frederik McCray, Monica Evans (Marlo Evans), Randolph McCray (Cindy McCray), Alton McCray(Raven McCray), Sonya McCray, Patrick McCray(Felicia McCray), 16 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Also, her present siblings, Dora Rushing (June Rushing), Walter Gibson (Ethel Lee Gibson), Corrine Vincent (Terry Vincent) and Celia Morrow (Vernon Morrow).
