Emmanuel "Dana" Scarboro

EMMANUEL "DANA" SCARBORO, 34 of CHARLOTTE, NC passed away Monday, September 10, 2018 at his home.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 am Saturday, September 22, 2018 at the Leah Richter Levin Memorial Auditorium, 201 S. School  St., Mount Gilead, NC.

Interment will follow in the Mount Zion AME Zion Church Cemetery in Mount Gilead, NC.

A public viewing will be held 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm Friday, September 21, 2018 at Harris Funeral Home & Cremations of Mount Gilead, NC whom is serving the Scarboro, Carson and extended families.

Our beloved Emmanuel " Dana" Scarboro , entered into eternal rest on Monday, September 10, 2018 at the age of 34. Dana was born on Tuesday, July 3, 1984 in Suffolk County, Norfolk, Virginia, to Bobby Ray and Essie Carson Scarboro.

At a very early age, Dana accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior. Dana was an advocate on maing a positive impact in the lives of family, friends and community,

Dana was educated in the Suffolk Public School System and went on to graduate from Virginia Union University with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Mass Communications, Dana was employed with Allstate Insurance Company in Charotte, NC as an insurance adjuster.

Dana loved family, friends and community,  Everyone knew Dana and lived by Galatians 5, immensly and was well loved.

Dana was preceded in death by her grandparents, Elbert and Ruthie Carson, Rev. Johnny Ray and Zelma Thomas Scarborough, very special aunts, Brenda Strong, Harrriett Scarboroughm Earldine Cisco and uncle, Levi Carson.

Those left to cherish and to continue Dana's legacy are parents, Bobby and Essie Scarboro; sisters, Sanquinetta Lacey (James) and Bobbett Deborough (Gary); very special nieces, Janiah and Gabriel and nephew, Israel; aunts and uncles, Geraldine Atkins (Charles), Johnny Scarborough (Varena), Terry Carson (Melvin), Frederica Willis (Pastor Jeffrey) Arethia Carson (George), Jackie Carson, Reginald Carson (Phyllis), Kenneth Carson, Richard Cisco, and a host of cousins, other relatives and very special friends.
