Eugene Daniels

MR. EUGENE DANIELS, 79 of HIGH POINT, NC passed away Friday, February 5, 2016 at the W.G. (Bill) Hefner VA Medical Center in Salisbury, NC.

Mr. Daniels is the husband of Mrs. Linda Little Daniels formerly of Mount Gilead, NC.

Funeral Services will be held 1pm Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at the Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church,  4517 NC HWY. 73 West, Mount Gilead, NC.  Visitation will be held 12pm to 1pm at the church prior to the service.  Military Honors and Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.

Born in Manhattan, NY, Saturday, April 11, 1936 a son of the late Earl Goodwin and Frances Daniels. He was educated in the public schools of NewYork City and later after his graduation Eugene joined the United States Marine Corps on December 10, 1953 at the age of seventeen and served his Country until December 12, 1957 when he received his Honorable Discharge. Later in his life  he held jobs as a License Plumber in New York City and also worked at the Meadowlands, Giants Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ were he became a loyal New York Football Giants fan.  Eugene later relocated to High Point, NC were he retired and resided until his demise.

Pop, Danny & Gene as he was affectionatley called by his family and friends was preceded in death by his father; Earl Goodwin, mother; Frances Daniels, father-in-law; Alexander Little and mother-in-law; Julia Little.

Those left to cherish his fond and loving memories are his wife; Linda Little Daniels of the home, his son; Brett Daniels (Rhonda) of High Point, NC, a daughter; Tiffany Daniels of High Point, NC; brother-in-law; Darrell Little of Richmond, VA, nephew; Chevon Scott (Patricia) of Charlotte, NC and a host of other relatives and friends.
