Eugenia (Lewis) Miller

MRS. EUGENIA LEWIS MILLER, 92 of MOUNT GILEAD, NC passed away Monday, April 24, 2017 at the Trinity Place in Albemarle, NC.

Funeral services will be 3pm Sunday, April 30, 2017, at St. Luke Church Church of God, 542 Parker Town Road,  Mount Gilead, NC. Burial to follow in the Church Cemetery.  A public viewing will be Saturday, April 29, 2017, from 12 noon till 7pm.

Eugenia Lewis Miller, was born to the late Dotsie Bruton and Carl Lewis on February 8, 1925 in Montgomery County, NC.  She was the second oldest of her siblings.

She was predeceased by her husband, Colon Miller, 3 children, Gloria, Lester, William James Lewis; three brothers, Glenwood, Clifton and Carl, Jr., and 5 sisters, Ella Mae, Mamie, Jamie, Geneva, and Julia Lewis

. She leaves cherished memories to her children, Johnnie Welan Miller of Kinston, NC and Min. Janie Ellen Vinson, (Lewis) of Mount Gilead, NC and Teresa Renee Leake, whom she raised as her own,  10 grandchildren, 19.  great-grandchildren, two sisters, Zulia Cosby of Boston, Mass. and Maxine Robinson of New London, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
