Floyd Davis Kimbrew

MR. FLOYD DAVIS KIMBREW, 59  of MT. Gilead, NC, passed away Monday, October 21, 2019 at Sanford Health and Rehabilitation  in Sanford, NC.

A Memorial Service in his honor will be held 3:00 pm Thursday, October 24, 2019 at the Harris Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in MT. Gilead, NC.

Harris Funeral Home and Cremations of MT. Gilead, NC, who is serving the Kimbrew, Watkins and extended families.

Minister Floyd Davis Kimbrew , a son of Ms. Martha Elizabeth Thomas Watkins and the late Edward Davis Kimbrew, was born on Monday, October 3, 1960 in Montgomery County, NC.

He attended West Montgomery High School, Mt. Gilead, NC and was employed in the textiles industry. Minister Floyd loved the Lord and attended Creek Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church in Zion Grove.

He was preceded in death by his father; brothers, James Tally Collins and Dewey Kimbrew; maternal grandparents, Floyd and Jane A. Thomas and paternal grandparents; Dewitt and Nellie Kimbrew and his wife, Betty Lou Campbell Kimbrew.

He leaves cherished memories to his children; Tania Nelson (Clifton) of Maryland and Antonio Kimbrew of Shannon, NC; his mother, Martha Watkins of Mt. Gilead, NC; three brothers, John Frank Thomas (Regina)  and Walter "David" Watkins (Dale), all of Mt. Gilead, NC and James Watkins (Carolyn) of Asheboro, NC; four sisters, Melissa Watkins of Rockingham, NC, Joyce Little (Anthony) of Rockingham, Denise Bruton and Pamela Williams, both of Ellerbe, NC; special friend Elder Lee Spencer and god-daughter, Tyreka Cole; dear sister-in-law, Sandra Ingram, 5 grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
