MISS FREDDIE MAE ALLEN, 74 of CHARLOTTE, NC formerly of Union County, NC died Thursday, March 6, 2014 at Carolinas Medical Center- Union in Monroe, NC. Funeral Services will be held 12 noon Saturday, March 15, 2014 at Parkwood Institutional CME Church, 802 Tom Hunter Rd., Charlotte, NC 28213 with Interment to follow in Gesthsemane Memorial Gardens, 1504 W. Sugar Creek Rd., Charlotte, NC 28262. Public viewing will be held 11am to 7pm Friday, March 14, 2014 at Harris Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Monroe, NC .
Born in Union County, NC, Tuesday, January 6, 1939 a daughter of the late Charlie Thomas Allen and Ethel Marie Nivens Allen. preceding her in death other than her Parents; five brothers; Jeffro Allen, H.B. Allen, Clayton Allen, L.C. Allen and Charles Allen; two sisters; Ethel Mae Allen Williams and Verlene Allen Jackson; two nephews; Prime White, Jr. and Daniel Williams; four nieces; Cynthia Allen Morris, Bevery Williams Goodson, Magdalene Williams and Jean Allen and one great-great niece; Anjelica Allen. Freddie loved wrirng scriptures from the the Bible and studying God's word, she was a member of the Parkwood Institutional CME Church were she was a faithful member until her health began to decline.
She leaves to cherish fond and loving memories to two sisters; Margie Allen White and Kathleen Allen Todd both of Monroe, NC and one brother Joseph Allen (Jacqueline) of Philadelphia, PA; 12 nephews, 15 nieces, 28 great nephews, 23 great nieces, 28 great-great nephews, 23 great-great nieces and one great-great-great-niece and a host of cousins and close family friends.
