Fredonia Ann (Collins) Watson

MRS. FREDONIA ANN COLLINS WATSON, 64 of MONROE, NC passed away Thursday, October 8, 2015 at Hospice of Union County in Monroe, NC.  Funeral Services will be held 1 pm Thursday, October 15, 2015 at Morning Star AME Zion Church, 4604 Secrest Shortcut Rd., Monroe, NC 28110, Reverend Jacqueline Roper, Pastor, Eulogist. Interment will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Monroe, NC.  A public viewing will be held 12 noon to 7pm Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at Harris Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Monroe, NC.

Fredonia was born Thursday, February 22, 1951 in Monroe, NC a daughter of Lillian Funderburk Collins and the late Curtis Collins.  She attended Monroe City Schools and also attended Morning Star AME Zion Church in Monroe, NC.  Preceding her in death were her father Curtis Collins, two sisters; Jeanette Collins and Carolyn Collins, one brother; Grady Collins.

She leaves to cherish fond and loving memories to her husband; Brenston Eugene Watson of the home, her mother; Lillian Funderburk Collins of Charlotte, NC, one daughter; Debra Barbour, two sons; Daren Barbour (Angie) and Charles Barbour, Jr., one step-son; Shaun Gaither all of Monroe, NC, five sisters; Linda Collins, Lessie Barrett (Bason), Eurieda Collins, Martha Collins and Sue Collins all of Charlotte, NC, four brothers; Curtis Collins of Monroe, NC, Wallace Collins, Elvis Collins and Edward Collins all of Charlotte, NC, six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, two step grandchildren, two aunts; Rena Little of Monroe, NC  and Dorothy Wilson of  Charlotte, NC, three sisters-in-laws, four brothers-in laws, a very special cousin, Therman Stafford and a host of neices, nephews other relatives and friends.
