Glender (Miller) Anderson

MRS. GLENDER MILLER ANDERSON, 68 of MONROE, NC passed away Friday, April 24, 2015 at Hospice of Union County in Monroe, NC. Funeral Servcies will be held 1pm Saturday, May 2, 2015 at Harris Funeral Home Memorial Chapel  of Monroe, NC, Reverend Brian Irving, Eulogist, there will be no public viewing.

Glender was born Friday, August 23, 1946 in Chesterfield Co., SC to the late Hayes and Mary Meadows Miller.  She joined Watts Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Monroe, NC at an early age and was a retired School Bus Driver for the Union County Public Schools.

She leaves to cherish fond and loving memories to her husband Johnny Ray Anderson of the home; two sons; Jessie Edward Covington of New York and Maurice Byrd of Conneticut, two daughters; Latoya Akers and Chantel Akers both of Monroe, NC, five sisters; Katie Miller of Charlotte, NC, Roberta Miller and Mary Rushing both of Monroe, NC, Gloria Moreira of Winston Salem, NC and Deloris Nelson (John) Chesterfield, SC,; two brothers; Fernest Miller (Doris) and Marvin Miller both of Monroe, NC; 11 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; best friend and sister Lynn Winston of Indian Trail, NC; two sisters in law; Patricia Liles (Harry) and Linda V. Norwood (Sam) both of Monroe, NC, four brothers in law; Eugene Anderson, Robert Anderson, Larry Anderson all of Monroe, NC and Alex Vinson (Betty) of Charlotte, NC and a host of neices, nephews and friends.
