Glendora (Faulkner) Rorie

MRS. GLENDORA FAULKNER RORIE, 88 of MARSHVILLE, NC passed away Monday, February 16, 2015 at Brookdale Assistant Living in Monroe, NC.  Funeral Servcies will be held 1:30pm Sunday, February 22, 2015 at the Nicey Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 318 Camden Rd., Marshville, NC 28103 Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.  A public viewing will be held 1pm to 7pm Saturday, February 21, 2015 at Harris Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Monroe, NC.

Mrs. Glendora Faulkner Rorie, a daughter of the late Garfield and Sally Garris Faulkner, was born October 26, 1926 in Union County, North Carolina.  She transitioned from labor to reward on Monday, February 16, 2015, in the Brookdale Assisted Living in Monroe, North Carolina.

She was a active member of Nicey Grove until her health failed.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James T. Rorie, brothers, Brady Faulkner, Randolph Faulkner, Kenny Faulkner and Ezel Faulkner and sisters, Reid McClendon, Lelay Alexander, Etta Jane Garmon and Essie Mae Long.

Those left to cherish loving and fond memories are her children, daughter, Lucille Rorie of Monroe, North Carolina, son, James Rorie, Jr.(Sheila) of Monroe, North Carolina; special daughter, Wanda Mumford and special son, Albert Staton; her grandchildren; Beverly Mungo(Michael) and James " Von " Huntley (Sherry) all of Monroe, North Carolina, Jamey Rorie and Andre Huntley (Stacey), all of Wingate, North Carolina and Mickey Harris (Bridget)  of Rochester, New York; sisters in law, Mary Ruth Leak of Patterson, New Jersey and Jo Linda Phoenix of Maryland; 13 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, and a host of other relatives and dear friends.
