Helen Marie (Williams) Houser

MRS. HELEN MARIE WILLIAMS HOUSER, 70 of MONROE, NC passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at her home.  Funeral Services will be held 1pm Saturday, March 28, 2015 at Greater Blessed Hope Baptist Church, 3607 Andrew Jackson Dr., Waxhaw, NC 28173, Interment will foillow in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Monroe, NC.  A public viewing will be held 12 noon to 7pm Friday, March 27, 2015 at  Harris Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Monroe, NC.

Born in Union County, NC on Saturday, August 19, 1944 a daughter of the late Oscar White and Lucy Williams McMurray.

Helen retired as a Childcare Worker in 2006, She was a member of Mount Olive AME Zion Church of Monroe, NC. Helen was very close to her children and grandchildren. She was a beautiful loving person inside and out and was very kind to everyone, she never met a stranger, Helen had a huge heart, she was loved and admired by everyone she encountered.

Helen was known as a pillar to her community, loving, giving and caring, most would refer to her as Grandma Helen.  Overall, she was known as a strong, poweful, phonomenal woman by her children and grandchildren.

Helen was preceded in death by her Husband; Woodrow "Chucky" Houser, Father; Oscar White, Mother; Lucy Williams McMurray, Sister; Dorothy Walker, Grandson; Desmond Threatt and Great-grand daughter; London Davis.

She leaves to cherish fond and loving memories to her children; Doris Massey (James), Teresa Delco (Raymond), Lester Franklin Threatt, Jr. ( Tanya), Beverly Threatt, Sedonia Bailey, Holly Bailey and Warren Threatt (Madrina), Step Mother; Emma Ruth White, Brothers; James White (Shirley), Waymond White (Barbara) and Eric White.  14 Grandchildren, 8 Great-grandchildren, Two Uncles; Roosevelt Williams (Pauline) and Henry Williams, One Aunt; Martha Morrison all of Monroe, NC and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
