Mr. Herman Robinson, 60 of New Haven, Conn, formerly of Mount Gilead, NC, died Wednesday, July 31, 2013, in New Haven, Conn. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 9, 2013 at Leah Levin Auditorium, 102 S. School Street, Mt Gilead, with burial in the McAuley Memorial Gardens. Public viewing will be from 11:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m., Thursday, August 8, 2013, at Harris Funeral Home, Mt. Gilead.
Our beloved Herman Robinson departed this earthly life on Wednesday, July 31, 2013. He was born on March 16, 1953, in Montgomery County, Mt. Gilead, to the late Paul Robinson and Mildred Dumas Robinson.
Herman received his education in the Montgomery County School System. After graduation, he moved to East Orange, NJ and later relocated to New Haven. He was employed with Sikorfky Aircraft and retired after 34 years of service.
Those left to cherish his memories are his wife; Charlotte Harrell Robinson; two daughters, Melinda Robinson and Elsie Nicole Ezekiel; two grandchildren; Jalynn and Jada; five sisters; Mary Miller of Mt. Gilead, NC, Sally Robinson of High Point, NC, Ellen Robinson of East Orange, NJ, Nellie (Charles) Traylor of Charleston, SC, and Jeannette (Thomas) Jacobs of Charlotte, NC; three brothers; Harold (Joyce) Robinson of Mt. Gilead, NC, Jimmy (Linda) Robinson of Newark, NJ and Herbert (Carol) Robinson of Bowie, MD; two uncles, Asia (Shirley) Dumas, Frank Dumas and one aunt, Alberta McAuley, all of Mt. Gilead, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and very dear friends.
We do not lose the ones we love.... They only go before.
Where there is everlasting life....Where sorrow is no more.
There the soul will always live... And peace is everywhere....
We do not lose the ones we love....God takes them in his care.
