Holly Faulkner, Jr.

MR. HOLLY FAULKNER, JR., 66 of MONROE, NC died Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at the W.G. Hefner Veteran Affairs  Medical Center in Salisbury, NC.  Funeral Services will be held 2pm Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at Langford Chapel CME Church, 113 S. Johnson St., Monroe, NC, Reverend Sandra Gripper, Pastor, Eulogist, Interment wilth full Military Honors will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery.  A public viewing will be held 11am to 7pm Monday, July 21, 2014 at Harris Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Monroe, NC.

Born in Monroe, NC, Tuesday, October 28, 1947 a son of the late Holly, Sr., and Bennie Ceil Winchester Faulkner. He was a 1967 graduate of Monroe High School and then after entered into the US Army where he served during the Vietnam War as an Infantry Soldier he was part of the 9th Infantry Division Mekong Delta. After recieving his Honorable Discharge, Holly returned to Monroe, NC where he was employed by the Comnet Company where he had a very long work history and he retired.  Holly met and married his devoted wife Helena Rogers Faulkner, he was a member of Langford Chapel CME Church in Monroe, NC where he served  as a Trustee, Usher and  Choir Member, always with a smile and an uplifting word.

He leaves to cherish fond and loving memories to his loving wife; Helena Rogers Faulkner of the home; daughters Bianca R. Faulkner of Monroe, NC, Fatima R. Sturdivant (Steven) of Marshville, NC, Hope McGuire (Patrick) of Laurel, MD; son; Cory D. Faulkner (Sherri) of Wingate, NC; five siblings; Robert Faulkner ( Elma) and Leona Nesbit (James deceased) all of Monroe, NC, Brenda Hilton (Donnie deceased) of Aurora, CO, Michael Faulkner (Frances) of Birmingham, AL and Bennie Honeycutt (Jean) of Jefferson, SC and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
