Hoyle (Horace) Black

MR. HOYLE  "Horace" BLACK, 80 of WINGATE, NC passed away Friday, June 5, 2020 at the Preston House of Charlotte, NC.

Funeral Services will be Private. Military Honors and Interment will be held 10:00 am Tuesday, June 9, 2020 at Salisbury National Cemetery, Salisbury, NC.  Harris Funeral Home & Cremations of Monroe, NC  is serving the Black, Laney and extended families.

"Horace" as he was so fondly called by his family and friends was born on Monday, July 24, 1939 in Union County, NC a son of the late John Henry and  Nanie Laney Black.  He was a US Army Veteran and owned his own Long Distance Trucking Company. "Horace" was preceded in death by his Parents, two sisters; Thelma Black Holmes and Lucille Black Williams, four brothers; Clyde Glenn, Junior Black, George W. "G.W." Black and John Neal Black.

He leaves to cherish fond and loving memories to three sisters; Alline Black Anderson of Wingate, NC, Ellen Black Williams of Monroe, NC and Glenda Black Massey (Harold) of Uless, TX, two brothers; Bobby Black and Henry Black (Della) all of Monroe, NC, a special friend; Dorothy Taylor of Wingate, NC and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
